This learning platform focuses specifically on public-private partnerships which contribute to advancing sustainable development at the local level. It aims to build capacity on PPPs, so that they can be leveraged as an efficient tool for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
You can start from the "Core knowledge" section to find out what is Sustainable Development Goals and how it is related to Public-Private Partnership. Then you proceed to the outer circle for more advanced knowlege. You can follow the PPP procedures step-by-step by clicking on any section of the left-hand side interactive diagram.
This virtual platform was built following the first International Forum on Public-Private Partnerships for Sustainable Development, held in October 2015 in Annemasse, France. This Forum, and subsequent Platform, results from a close collaboration between the French Republic, the Région Rhône-Alpes, the Département de la Haute-Savoie, the Agglomeration of Annemasse (France) and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), the United Nations Economic Commision for Europe (UNECE), and other UN agencies.
This platform is also developed in corporation with UNECE's International PPP Centre of Excellence and its Specialist Centre of Excellence on PPPs in Local Governments (Hosted by Toyo University, Japan).
Contributions, suggestions, and comments to enhance the platform are most welcome at firstname.lastname@example.org .
